12 Months – 12 Stories: 2025

Every year I return to a personal tradition: revisiting my photographs and reflecting on the year that has passed. For me, this is not merely an act of archiving, but a way to closely observe my creative path. To understand what worked, what proved more challenging than expected, and what emerged as an unexpected discovery. It is a moment of an honest conversation with myself, without haste or unnecessary explanations.

This time, I have selected twelve photographs, one from each month of 2025. Together, they form a coherent narrative of a year shaped by searching, projects, travel, and internal transformation.

January was devoted to working with instant photography, creating street diptychs using Instax. In February, I completed the project Where the Paths Meet, which I had begun in 2024. March marked the starting point of a new instant photography project, Echoes of a Forgotten Film, a body of work that would come to define the rhythm of the entire year.

In April, my workshops brought me to Venice, where, between the flow of tourists and the stillness of early mornings, one of the year’s significant images was made. May led me to Tallinn for the first time, where, alongside my exhibition, I created a photograph for my long-term project Incognito.

Summer became a period of active experimentation. In June, the STRT PLRD series was born, an exploration of street photography through the medium of Polaroid. At the same time, I continued working on Kitchen Studio, gradually shaping its visual language. By August, this series had reached the form I had been consciously working toward for several years, through a careful approach to printing, paper, and presentation.

Autumn was more focused and introspective. In September, while leading workshops in Hungary, I made one of my favorite street photographs of the year on a central square in Budapest. October was dedicated to further work on Kitchen Studio, discovering new images within the confines of my own apartment. In November, I completed Echoes of a Forgotten Film, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in street photography once again, continuing the STRT PLRD series.

December brought the year to a close with a workshop and extensive shooting in Paris. Visiting the city for the fifth time, I finally felt that I was able to capture the atmosphere I had been searching for over many years.

If I were to define 2025 in a single phrase, it would be a year devoted entirely to instant photography. It was a year of focus, trust in the process, and inner clarity. I am grateful that I was able to realize everything I had planned, and even more than I had expected at the beginning of this journey.
